Magic on Madison Avenue
At last week’s event, themed “By the Hand of the Maker,” Paolo Martorano Bespoke and IWC welcomed select guests to an intimate and refined evening at the IWC New York flagship boutique on Madison Avenue. The event celebrated the shared values of precision workmanship, enduring heritage, and indisputable artistry, affording attendees the rare opportunity to view first-hand the ultimate iteration of the maker’s art.
Guests were treated to live demonstrations by both a master IWC watchmaker and one of Paolo Martorano Bespoke’s tailors, offering an extraordinary window into the meticulous skill informing each discipline. Complementing the presentation, a curated scotch tasting courtesy of Bowmore allowed everyone to savor the storied tradition of one of Scotland’s finest distilleries. The experience was further elevated by a private performance from Grammy Award-winning jazz vocalist and guitarist John Pizzarelli, who performed selections from his new tribute album ‘Dear Mr. Bennett,’ a loving farewell to the great Tony Bennett.
Paolo Martorano discussed the fine hand craftsmanship that creates an irrefutable intersection between master watchmaking and bespoke tailoring. “I’ve always believed that the enduring traditions of expertise exemplified in both watchmaking and tailoring reflect a shared commitment to precision and artistry. Adding our exceptionally talented friend John Pizzarelli to the mix all but guaranteed an unforgettable evening.
