By the Hand of the Maker
On Tuesday, March 25th, IWC Schaffhausen and Paolo Martorano Bespoke were pleased to host “By the Hand of the Maker,” an exclusive evening celebrating craftsmanship, heritage, and artistry, held at the IWC New York Flagship Boutique.
The event brought together distinguished guests for an intimate and refined experience, highlighting the shared values between fine watchmaking and bespoke tailoring. Designed to showcase craftsmanship at its highest level, the evening offered attendees a rare opportunity to witness the precision and dedication behind both disciplines.
In a uniquely immersive element, guests were treated to live demonstrations by a master watchmaker and a bespoke tailor, providing a first hand look into the meticulous techniques that define each craft. From the intricate assembly of a timepiece to the careful handwork of garment construction, the demonstrations underscored the artistry and expertise required to achieve true excellence.
Reflecting on the evening, Paolo noted, “I have always believed that the enduring traditions of fine craftsmanship in both watchmaking and bespoke tailoring reflect a shared commitment to precision and artistry.”
Complementing the demonstrations, a curated Scotch tasting by Bowmore invited guests to explore the rich heritage of one of Scotland’s most storied distilleries, adding depth and warmth to the evening’s experience.
The atmosphere was further elevated by a private performance from Grammy Award–winning jazz artist John Pizzarelli, whose music provided a sophisticated and vibrant backdrop to the night.
Paolo Martorano Bespoke and IWC were honored to share this exceptional evening with their guests, celebrating not only the beauty of craftsmanship, but the enduring traditions that continue to define both worlds.
