Paolo nominated for the Arbiter Magazine 2025 Tailoring Awards
Paolo Martorano is both honored — and extremely flattered — to have been nominated for the prestigious Arbiter Magazine 2025 Tailoring Awards, Milano Su Misura, celebrating the very finest in international bespoke tailoring.
This, the fifth Arbiter award, is once again exclusively sponsored by Loro Piana, which provides all the fabric used by tailors participating in the challenge. This seasons theme, in honor of the forthcoming Winter Olympic Games scheduled to be held in Italy early next year — is Winter Elegance, Milano Cortina.
This annual event is scheduled to take place in Milan on Friday, October 24th and Saturday, October 25th at Milan’s famed Palazzo Clerici palace.
This year, in addition to the 22 other international tailors participating (including such industry luminaries as Huntsman, Norton and Sons, and Cad and the Dandy), Paolo becomes one of the first American makers to be nominated.
Paolo has termed the outfit that constitutes his entry ‘Après Ski in Cortina’; it consists of a classic 3-button jacket with two button-through flap patch pockets, a self-back belt, and a throat latch, all realized in a subtle plaid 100% cashmere from Loro Piana in shades of russet, pale grey, tan, and cream. The coordinating flat-front rouser features a lap seam detail and pistol shaped side adjusters.
The distinguished panel of judges will evaluate the work of the nominees includes, among others, Pier Luigi Loro Piana, Gaetano Aloisio (President of the World federation of Master Tailors), Frederic Arnault, Lorenzo Cifonelli, celebrated menswear journalist Bernhard Roetzel, and Carlo Andreacchio of A. Saracen.
